Another day, another beautifully lit senior session! I'd like to thank the sun and this gracious senior, Maya, for allowing me to document her senior portraits. Whew! Look at her go.

It was such a joy to reconnect with this wonderful family for their extended family photo session here in Southwest Michigan! We met on a beautiful late summer evening, and I honestly think this might be one of my favorite extended family sessions yet. As a Kalamazoo-based family photographer, I don't mind traveling closer to the lakeshore, and I especially love capturing these multi-generational moments. In the last few years, I've gotten to work with families vacationing in Michigan during the summer and fall months, and I think I'd like to do more of it! Whether you're gathering at the lake, renting a cottage near South Haven or St. Joseph, or hosting a reunion near Kalamazoo, I’d love to help document your time together. Extended family sessions are a perfect way to capture this special season in time!
I'm always trying to get seniors to give me a subtle smile or a more serious face- there's just something about that look I find really appealing in a portrait. Carter here was truly the first senior I've ever photographed where his vibrant full smile just could not compete with his more subtle or serious side. He's a full smile guy and that is what his gallery will be full of! A little preview for now:
A deluxe session in South Haven at Pilgrim Haven Natural Area is quickly becoming my favorite type of senior portrait package. Leah was a stellar model all evening. We ended up with so many incredible shots, I truly just had to randomly pull a handful for a preview! Here we go!
