The majority of family photographers will tell you the ideal gallery is filled with a mix of warm, candid moments and a few posed photos - and that's exactly what I aim for. Family Portrait Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What if my kiddos aren't really the "sit and pose for a photo" type of kiddos? Can we make this work?
Answer: I personally haven't met many "sit and pose for a photo" kiddos and my sessions are designed to be playful! Think of it more as a family date with plenty of focus on playing together and snuggling up so I can capture some genuine moments. I typically suggest we hit up a local nature park or preserve and explore it a little for families with toddlers on up. I am also happy to visit your backyard or home with you for more of a cozy at-home lifestyle session if you have a newborn or infant.

Q: Since we usually book a session at an outdoor location, what about bad weather?
Answer: I keep an eye on the weather in the days leading up to your session and you will know the morning-of if it's looking like we need to reschedule. Your deposit moves with you to your new date. Sunshine, clouds, and even overcast are all do-able. Rainy and (windy) snow is a no-go. 

Q: How will I get my images?
Answer:  Within four weeks, I'll post a preview blog post on my website so you can see a few sample images. You can opt out of this if you wish, but most families see it as a nice way to share your preview with family/friends as you wait for your full gallery. Within about three days of your preview, I'll send you a personalized online gallery with your images. This private gallery will allow you to download your high resolution images. You will minimally see the amount that come with your package - occassionally more. Once you download your images, you can share them, save them, and even print them on your own.  You can print your pictures anywhere, printing your products in the gallery shop is not a requirement.

Q: Do the sessions come with printed products? 
Answer: Your session fee covers the time we spend together and a certain number of high-resolution digital downloads. Your gallery has a shop feature where you can order any printed products as you wish, but I do not require you to order printed products from me. Families frequently order print packs, framed photos, canvases, or photo books of their favorite images. ​​
