When extended families request photos together, my favorite go-to is a casual lifestyle family session where they can all connect and I can capture their current phase of life! This sweet family vacationing near Three Oaks, MI from the Chicago area was hoping to find a beach for their evening family photo session. Weko Beach right along Lake Michigan turned out to be the perfect spot! While it can be a challenge to capture quality moments at a public beach with little ones, this family made things so easy! Grandma and Grandpa happily played with their four sweet grandchildren. Moms and Dads raced, tickled, swung, and scooped up their kiddos, getting plenty of genuine laughs and smiles out of them. Those are my favorite types of lifestyle family portraits! Next time you're planning a family vacation in Southwest Michigan, hit me up and book a family portrait session! These beach sessions are all kinds of fun, or we can hit up a meadow at sunset (my other favorite).

If the one hour I spent with Cait and AJ is any indication of their life together, whew! These two are wildly in sync and couldn’t stop making each other laugh. I barely gave them any prompting to get these gems. Family Portraits taken at Covered Bridge Park and Langley Covered Bridge Historic Site I did ask that AJ whisper (in his most sexy voice) the names of some breakfast cereals to Cait, but besides that, these smiles and laughs are all of their own making! While this may look a bit like an engagement portrait session, these two are celebrating one year of marriage together. Their little pup, Poptart, is featured in a number of their family portraits together. Though she may look bored in a few of these, she told me she was quite enthusiastic about getting her photo taken.
