Asylum Lake near sunset is by far one of my favorite locations for family portraits! There is just so much variety in landscape within the first hundred yards or so of the west end parking lot. This sweet family has their youngest daughter heading off to college in the fall- so all of them got together for a set of family photos!

It's been so sweet to see this little nugget grow! Beau is two years old this month and just the cutest little guy. Meredith and John had me out to their home on Austin Lake for some annual family photos to commemorate his birthday! At-home sessions can be all kinds of fun for family portraits since kiddos are already so comfortable with their surroundings.

A little adventure through the woods at Pilgrim Haven Natural Area in South Haven made for one sweet family portrait session last week! These explorers took a little trail with me to a tiny sandy section of beach along the creek. We ended up venturing out onto the rocky shore along Lake Michigan. This family even brought grandma along for the ride who was quite the adventurer herself!

Katie just graduated from Parchment High School and celebrated with a little portrait session. Her dad, brother, and boyfriend joined in on the fun and we captured some gems! I met Katie through my Junior/Senior Scholarship program and was so impressed with her desire to make a positive impact on her community. She's heading off to Grand Valley next to focus on studying Psychology and I'm certain she's going to do wonderful things in the mental health and counseling field one day soon.
