Occasionally I'll head out of southwest, Michigan for a portrait session and a couple weeks ago that took me to Petoskey- one of my favorite up north spots. We found plenty of scenic locations for Troy's senior pictures: Downtown Petoskey, Bayfront Park, and my lovely aunt and uncle's front and back yard!

This sweet family got a breezy afternoon for their family portraits at Pilgrim Haven Natural Area in South Haven! We explored the creek and forest, then hit up the beach to play and check out the water. As a family photographer, I find myself most often working with families in the Kalamazoo area or South Haven and this is by far one of my favorite spots to take families with children if they are up for a little exploring. 

Cozy newborn lifestyle photography sessions are up there in my list of favorites. What's better than staying at home and snuggling up for some family portraits with your newest addition? Newborn photographers all do things a little differently - my style is all about capturing some candid, genuine moments with your babe!

This family is one of my favorites - I mean just look at these little gems. They are the sweetest and were a *breeze* to photograph. We met up at Paw Paw Prairie Fen Preserve in Mattawan for a few family portraits and were rewarded with some great weather and a minimal amount of mosquitos- my favorite combination during a summer evening session. ❤️

Bri & Brian made one sweet babe, who I had the pleasure of photographing last week! Iyla proved to be quite the amazing photography subject, as evidenced below. The newborn stage is fleeting and I'm so grateful to be able to capture images like this for families with new little ones. I think folks often wonder if getting newborn portraits is worth it and I can promise you the answer is yes! You're busy taking care of a newborn  and adjusting to life with a new addition - it's wonderful to have some photographs of you all together in those first few weeks.
