This is my second summer photographing this beautiful family! I'm so grateful when families come back for more. I love to see kids grow year after year. These cuties did not disappoint! We had quite a bit of wind to work with and they nailed it. South Haven is a fantastic little spot for family photos and this photographer will pick this beach time and time again for the variety it offers!

This fresh one year old was showing off her walking skills on the beach at Pilgrim Haven Natural Area in South Haven this past weekend! Her, her little pup, and parents came out for a cozy little beach session. Take look at a few highlights here:

This was my first time taking portraits at this beautiful little poppy field in Fennville. A thunderstorm rolled through right before our session, and it retreated just as we began! I'm on a lucky little streak with weather working out last minute and I'm so glad I had this opportunity to take photos here with this sweet little family.

We got a few raindrops mid-session but it came and went quickly!

Give me all the extended families on the beach this summer! I don't know why I get so lucky and end up with a little cloud cover for some *chef's kiss* light in the evening but I'm crossing my fingers I stay this lucky for the rest of my life. This family was so fun to document. I'm all about the big group shots that you want to frame, but I *love* the candid playtime photos we end up with. Southwest Michigan is full of some great photographers, and I feel so grateful to be chosen for sessions like these. Here's to a summer full of good evening light!
