We had a beautiful evening capturing some maternity portraits for my oldest and dearest friend! Alica and Jason are expecting their little one in early December and brought big sister pup Kona along to join in on the photo fun. My husband and kiddo, Emmy, joined us to accompany Kona and it was loads of fun to let them join me at work and have two extra assistants for the night! Emmy even snuck into some photos with Aunt Alica here and there and it was very very sweet to capture the two of them together. Aunt Alica let little Emmy sneak into some photos with her and Emmy was ALL about it.

This was my fourth time photographing this family and it was our best one yet! This is the sweetest family and we really lucked out with weather. It rained before and after and we snuck this right in there. Family portrait photography is the best when we can just get together and play for a big family date. I've got a dozen ways for you to have fun together and make sure we capture some sweet and genuine moments of your family. These girls are pros at this point and went along with all of it!
Welcome to the world ya little cutie! Liam here was a shining star for his at-home lifestyle newborn session. Big sister even made an appearance and snuggled up for a few cozy shots too. I was lucky enough to photograph her when she was just born and feel so grateful I got to capture Liam in his first few weeks too!
I spent a gorgeous October evening with Anusha for her full senior portrait session! The outfits she chose were perfect compliments to the locations. We started out at Heritage Hall and ended up with some beautiful sunset light out at Asylum Lake Nature Preserve. We even got to sneak her mom in for one last shot before we wrapped for the evening!
Vedika was hoping for some scenic views for her Senior Portraits and she loves the beach, so off to Saugatuck we went! We had a beautiful evening for her full senior package and I can't thank her enough for choosing me to take these. Seniors may be my favorite to work with - and for so many reasons. I read a really beautiful thing the other day about that age that seemed to capture it -
"Teenagers are the most special. We truly don't give them enough credit. They're in the window between childhood and adulthood, a window that is closing and they're sitting on the sill. They remind me of the world in-between." |
